Echos Of My Shadow Self

I created this body of work to avoid making something “beautiful.” Instead I created them to survive, to process, and to confront. This body of work is a reflection of my past, my present, and my future, the person I am still becoming. It is me trying to face what I avoided for so long, to look directly at the soup I created and give it a form. Through harsh lighting, deep contrast, and heavy shadows, I am translating emotions that feel sharp, overwhelming, and sometimes impossible to hold. The intensity in these images is intentional. It is meant to be felt. This work is raw because I am raw. It is uncomfortable because healing is uncomfortable. Some people may look at it and turn away, and others may see themselves in it. Both reactions matter to me. What I want most is for people to feel something, to recognize that they are not alone in what they carry. Through this work, I am not just showing who I am. I am creating a space where mental health can exist openly, honestly, and without an apology.
